Ice-Cream Social to follow our Summer Season concert. NRYSC will be providing ice cream and toppings. Parents, please bring cookies or brownies!
News Flash Our Summer Season concert location has been moved to the Mountain View Church of God in Hilltop, WV.
Final Rehearsal Monday, August 24, at Fayetteville Christ Fellowship.
Concert Dress Black pants or long black skirt and blue NRYSC uniform polo shirt. The uniform shirt will be worn tucked in and with the top button unbuttoned. The skirt should be below the knee when the student is sitting down. Shoes will be black dress shoes (no open toes) with black dress socks or black nylons or black tights. Chorus members must have flat heels.

From the South (Crossroads Mall) - on Route 19 go north 7.0 miles to the Glen Jean exit. Turn right, go 100 feet, turn left onto WV 16/61, go north 1.2 miles to Christian School Road, turn left, and you are there.
From the North (Fayette Square, Oak Hill) – on Route 19 go south 4.0 miles to the Hilltop Exit. Turn left onto WV 16/61, go south 1.5 miles to Christian School Road, turn right, and you are there.
Saving Seats Chorus Parents, save a seat for your child when you find a seat for the concert. After they sing, we will send the students to their families. They will need a seat. Symphony students will sit together in the reserved seating section. After the Chorus is finished singing, the Symphony students will go backstage to get their instruments and meet on stage to perform.
Rest & Food Please be sure your NRYSC student is rested and fresh for the concert, by allowing for some down time during the afternoon before the concert. Please do not have your NRYSC student eat a big meal or drink soda within one hour of the rehearsal before a concert.
Parent Volunteer Help Please let Kathy Bailey know if you are willing to help with concert setup, programs, etc.
Admission Fee Admission is free.
Free West Virginia Symphony Orchestra Labor Day Concert at Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium in Beckley. Patriotic, fun, and classical music. Get there early for a good seat! 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2009.
See you next season! Monday, September 14, at Oak Hill High School. Auditions for new students at 5:00, Chorus rehearsal at 5:45, Symphony rehearsal at 7:00.

From the South (Beckley intersection of Eisenhower and Robert C. Byrd) - go north 1.5 miles to the green water tower at the south end of Prosperity Road. Turn left (be careful - this is a dangerous intersection) and go 0.8 miles to the church on your right.
From the North (Crossroads Mall) - go south 0.5 miles to the stoplight at the top of the hill - the north end of Prosperity Road. Turn right and go 0.8 miles to the church on your left.
Parking Students, instruments, and grandmothers may be let off under the canopy in front of the church, but then able-bodied parents are asked to park across the street by the church offices or else down the hill by the gymnasium, so that guests can park in the main parking lot.

Summer Season Auditions for the next season will be held at Fayetteville Christ Fellowship Church on Monday, June 22.
Chorus auditions will be at 5:00-5:45 p.m., and Symphony auditions will be at 5:45-7:00 p.m. Regular rehearsals will follow the auditions.
The concert for the summer season will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, at Fayetteville Christ Fellowship Church, with an ice-cream social to follow.
