January 29, 2009

NRYSC has an opportunity to present our organization to the public-school fine-arts teachers for Braxton, Fayette, Greenbrier, Nicholas, Pocahontas, and Webster Counties on February 16, 2009. There will be many band, choir, dance, and visual arts teachers attending the day of workshops, to be held in Summersville.

Raleigh, Fayette, Greenbrier, and Nicholas County public schools will not have school that day, which makes it possible for our public-school students to join us in this endeavor.

This presentation provides a special opportunity for NRYSC to share what we are doing with the very people who are in a unique position to send us students.

With this in mind, we are asking NRYSC, both Chorus and Symphony, students who are available for two rehearsals scheduled for:

Monday evenings on February 2 and 9.

And a morning performance on February 16, 2008.  Please let us know ASAP.  We can work out carpooling on the performance date.

Thank you for your help in making this opportunity possible.
